Frank A. Ober quietly observed his 87th birthday July 7. On that day he received a fine letter from his grandson, "Dick" Ober, a Harvard graduate, giving complete details of his training as an officer on a glider. He had just completed his fifth parachute jump. Frank Ober is a retired letter carrier of Nashua and with his wife has made beautiful the grounds around their home on Main Street with lovely flower gardens. He is the son of Clark H. Ober and Lydia A. (Swasey) Ober. His father passed his entire life except a few years of his early manhood in this, his native town. He was a public school teacher in neighboring towns for a considerable period, and his wife for many years before and after her marriage was known in the surroundng region as "teacher" by an entire generation. He was a farmer, but was also largely occupied in insurance business, as deputy sheriff, and as a superintendent of schools. He was interested in the militia of the state.
