William Jurian Kaula diary - no entry
An addendum from yesterdays diary entry about the fig eaters and Tim Cole.
* Tim Cole (the son) was Alphaeus Philemon Cole. Apparently, being a fruit eater provides longevity - he lived to be 112 years and 136 days. He was "the world's oldest verified living man and the oldest living person in the US" - per Wikipedia

On this day I explored the abandoned house on Turnpike road that is past Mascenic High School next to the storage units. I learned that it belonged to Red (John) Koski. After I posted the photos on my website, several people added comments about the man who lived here.
Additional photos and comments about Red Koski can be seen on my website.
Would also like to thank the society for the photos, remember the fun times with my siblings in the town of Bankvillage. Remember jumping of this bridge with my brother Bill many times.
If you can't live in New Ipswich then Rensselaer County NY is a good second choice. I moved here in 1980 from Montclair, NJ. I was tired of commuting into Manhattan. I was on the faculty of the College of Physicians & Surgeons for 8 yrs and during that time 4 people associated with Columbia U were killed on the streets or in the subway. I had an offer at the same salary to teach pre-meds, graduate nurses, and PTs at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY and took it. Bought an 1840 house on 91 acres., built a post & beam barn with skills learned from my father. If you Google 166 Tamarac Rd Troy. NY you can actually see a street view of the house. Google is amazing.
