Schoolhouse #11
I was always under the impression that this building was a church. However apparently this was Schoolhouse #11 located in Bank Village. The photo was scanned from a glass negative. Note the lack of trees. Does anyone have an idea where this might be? I suspect River Road nearest Highbridge.
Mystery Photo
Now for something completely different. This photo was in the folder containing photos of the Wheeler family and various locations in Smithville. It is one of the many mystery photos we have. Do you know these dogs? How about the raccoons?

James Roger diary entry
28th (Saturday)
Dull morning. Showery forenoon. Fair after. David went to Boston. Got telephone from him at 6pm. Hamish & Jim went to Greenville with him. He got hair cut. He is feeling a little better. I fixed church and hall for Odd Fellows who did not turn up.
This is Nancy Clark's house (or half of it anyway). They have the lovely old barn relocated from Mass., I believe, and the carriage house behind the main house. Remember the cider press event last fall?
The more I look at it, though, the more I'm unsure. There is the old Highbridge schoolhouse down by the mill. Any other opinions?
