Here is the stereoscopic view of the house when Col. Bellows lived here (retired engineer City of Philadelphia) with this family. The bay window/door is gone, and the 1830's addition is evident, the porch roof that we have now was a much later addition. The tall, slender man behind and to the right of Bellows is the ghost frequently seen around here, same clothes and lanky silhouette.

Come to think of it, when I was reading the New Ipswich history I recall that a certain man was found dead at that location on the road in the 1830's. It was never known how or why he died. I remember the story as we used to live close to that location. Maybe there is something to it after all!!!!!
A Mr. McKeemon (spelling?) lived there in the 1960's when we used to live across the street. He was very meticulous about keeping the place looking picture perfect. I never saw any ghosts or apparitions although the old town cemetery just down the road looked kind of spooky to us kids.
