Thanks for posting his obit. New Ipswich was lucky to have the Rogers as residents. His diary shows humility and reality. He could have boasted about his own achievements but chose to tell us about tending the chickens and the church furnace. His references to letters from family indicate how much he valued them. Sorry to hear that his diary will end in 1916. I look forward to the rest of it. 74 seems young today.
