Another Mystery - The Whalleys
We have a postcard with the caption
“Given to their brother Fred Gibson from Maude & Angela.”
However the postcard lists the Whalleys as being Angela and Vangie. Who were these women? Did they live in New Ipswich? Where did they perform?

Carl Toko and I went looking for the Steven Farrar plaque at Porter Hill.
We didn’t the find the plaque on that day, but I had the chance to show Carl the town pound which was located right next to the Old Burying ground.
I read in the New Ipswich history that for many years after Stephen Farrar's death, church people would come and sing hymns at his grave site on the anniversary of his passing. My guess is that the practice faded as those who personally knew him passed away. It would be a nice tradition to have kept.
Her brother was Fred J Gibson.
