How impoverished is the community or social group that knows little about its past. How much richer is New Ipswich for those who care about Town history and work to preserve its artifacts and stories of its people for future generations. Though, as some have said, the young must be taught appreciation in ways that resonate with them that cut through current societal distractions.

What a great way to get young minds to think about the impact of history on the people in their community. This same approach applies equally well to current events.

I'm occasionally on the hunt for obtundia cream when I'm in need of a drawing salve. It typically elicits a blank look from the pharmacist when I ask for it. To his credit, the elderly pharmacist in Townsend knew exactly what I was asking for.
