Second photo BW009 appears to be taken on Thanksgiving or other such event, perhaps around 1955. Donna seems to be about age three and she is my contemporary. The scene looks like a mid-century NINH version of Norman Rockwell's "Freedom from Want."

BW010 looks like Helen Thayer Emma stylin' in the sweater/skirt outfit (along with sisters or friends, perhaps on their way to high school?)

BW012 from left to right, I think, is PC Thayer, Helen Thayer Emma, a relative, and Phil Emma.

And what of James Roger's mentioning Mr. Peacock's sermon on the "communistic" life of the Apostles? That word appears to have had an entirely different connotation prior to the 1917 October Revolution in Russia, another day that will live in infamy.

Thank God for our old home town and nation, despite all past, current, and future disagreements. We the People, including such families as the Thayers and Emmas and those who came later, will prevail through community service and traditions.
