When I was growing up in New Ipswich the Apothecary House was owned by the Bays family. Sally was their daughter about 7 years older than me and Sam was their son, about 3 years older than me. We spent our teenage years swimming at the town pool. I think Mrs Bays was a teacher or a librarian. I never saw or knew Mr Bays.
