Barnes Falls, also known as Garwin Falls or Old Wilton Falls, is a 40-foot waterfall in Wilton, New Hampshire. The area is closed to the public due to issues with trash, noise, and fire hazards.

Interesting photos. How did Walter get to the other side? They're hiking in what I would call formal clothing. Where and who was the photographer? It's 1898, they must have traveled via horse & buggy or train. I live in upstate NY and Canandaigua would be quite a trip from New Ipswich. The Nashua Telegraph mentions 'Barnes Falls' in some 1890 editions in Wilton.

Supposedly it was on Mill Brook in Wilton. I looked for Mill Brook on

google maps and couldn't find it. I got that info from the Nashua Telegraph Apr 5, 1963.
