This is a house I would have loved to live in instead of the one next to the high bridge. I have never seen this house and travelled River Rd a lot in the 50s. It has a sign on the barn that says "River View".

It must have been on River Rd and based on the terrain, on the right side of River Rd as you drive towards Bank Village. Assuming fewer trees in the 1800s the property near the Drone Services place is a candidate. The property was the summer residence of F.W. Ely who was in the cotton manufacturing business. The Drone Services property is only 1/2 mi for the High Bridge cotton mill.

The Ely property was bought from the Pritchard family. If the NIHS has a location for the Pritchard house then you might solve its location.
