Dixon, her husband, was a lot like James Roger, a common man who was road agent for Smithville at the same time that Adolphe Rochon (the man my grandmother moved in with after divorcing my grandfather) was road agent for Highbridge. Dixon also did house repairs including shingling Sarah Lee Fisk's house. Mary in the photo was their daughter.
