As James Roger states Mr. Eastman was not charged. That was the right decision. If someone points a loaded gun at you and seems to be in a rage I think you are justified in shooting him. In 1965 I was held at gunpoint at the entrance to Boston's Franklin Park across from the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital where I worked. A car came by slowly, passenger window came down, a little old lady yelled: "1'm calling the police!". The gunman (and his 3 friends) left the scene immediately. Never got to know who that lady was.
Too bad we don't have the names of the firemen.
