A mounding board is a board on which dough may be formed, as in kneading dough for making bread.

Dr. Francis Gibson served in the Civil War and from 1867-1887 was a physician in New Ipswich.

From New Ipswich History 1735 1914. Dr. Gibson was conspicuous by his bravery in caring for the wounded on the battlefield. For more than 20 years he practiced his profession in N.I., where his integrity, kindness and skl won for him a large and increasing practice.

That clipping must have been from the 20s or earlier. Nice photo of Pratt Pond. Spent many Saturdays evenings fishing pout in the 40s with my dad on that pond.

When I read the item about the town hall being built out of the old church, I was reminded of a comment in the town history about the town hall containing portraits of eminent citizens, including Henry Otis Preston. He lived in our farm, the Kangas farm, from 1846 to 1860. I would love to have a picture of him. Do you know if any of those portraits still exist?
